Bands - Don White

This was my first gig playing bass full time. With Laverne, I'd split the night half on trumpet and half on bass.

Don did a drop dead impression of Johnny Cash and put on a great show. I wasn't in the band for very long, though. Although Don had a PA system, he had no transportation and I had to pick him up and take him everywhere. Between the drinking and the blow, the whole thing was just destined for failure.

What I really needed was a band of my own . . .
