Cal Johnson has just seen something. Something strange and eerie. And it wasn't like a weather balloon or a low flying plane.
The problem is that Cal has been asked to 'keep his mouth shut' by the sheriff . . . but Cal's already talked to the good folks at Channel 9 News.
We started filming on encounter back in June. What an undertaking! For a no budget film, this has turned out to be an enormous amount of work. After completing "It's Human Skin" last year, Chip and I started thinking about our next feature project. It was actually Chip that had the idea for encounter. Something he'd been kicking around since he was a small boy in China.It's the story of a guy that "sees something", but can't really say for sure what it was. The story focuses on how he's treated by the town, not on the encounter itself.
